Sep 6, 2015- In 1938, Hitler pressed claims on Sudetenland (border regions of Czechoslovakia that were inhabited by ethnic Germans). England, Italy, and France signed an appeasement agreement at the Munich Conference that conceded the Sudetenland to Germany. In March 1939, Germany invaded and divided the remainder of Czechoslovakia. The eventual goal of the German state under Nazi leadership was to eradicate Czech nationality through assimilation, deportation, and extermination.
